Normally when an airline announces a new menu, it’s referring to the introduction of several new dishes. That’s not the case with JAL who just announced their new breakfast “menu” at Tokyo’s Haneda International Airport (HND) which appears to contain one item. If you’re into rye galettes topped with ham, egg, and cheese, you’re in luck! The dish will be available in JAL’s First Class Lounge at HND from 7am to 11:30am starting on June 1st in the lounge’s Teppan Grill. Until then, specialty pancakes are available.

From 5:30pm to 11:30pm each night, the Teppan Grill serves a Hamburg Steak with JAL Original Sauce, which, as far as I can tell, is a burger without the bun and perhaps steak sauce? The press release isn’t very forthcoming with details. You can read the whole thing here:

Japan Airlines (JAL) will serve the original rye galette as a new breakfast menu in its First Class Lounge at Haneda Airport International Terminal, starting June 1, 2015.

JAL Original Rye Galette is cooked in Teppan Dining area using specially made galette topped with egg, ham and cheese.

JAL will continually embrace new challenges to provide customers with more innovative products and high-quality services.
