Can You Beer Me Now? Bell’s Brewhouse Now Open at Ford International in Grand Rapids, MI

Posted in At the Terminal, Domestic US, GRR

Grand Rapids may not be a major hub of frequent flyer travel, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have great beer for those that find themselves flying in and out of Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR). Bell’s, the legendary Western Michigan craft brewers, just opened Bell’s Brewhouse back in September and their incredible beers are now available to travelers, as well as a modified menu from their Eccentric Cafe, which can be found at the flagship Kalamazoo brewery.

Anyone who has ever enjoyed an Oberon or a Two-Hearted Ale should be rejoicing at the news. The brewhouse offers six taps of fresh Bell’s beer as well as a full range of bottles. As for the menu, it’s pretty much typical pub grub with wings, burgers, sandwiches (with bread from the excellent Zingerman’s Deli), salads, and apps including a beer cheese soup made with Bell’s Amber Ale.

The best part of the whole thing is that the new restaurant is pre-security, so even if you’re not flying that day, you can go and enjoy the bounty of Bell’s. I’ll raise a toast to that.
