Who doesn’t love awards? Oscar, Emmy, Tony — these aren’t just the names of people on your college co-ed Ultimate Frisbee team. They’re the way that we, as a society, reward entertainers for doing well at the jobs they’re paid very well to do. Awards aren’t limited to entertainment, though. If you’re a regular BoardingArea browser, you surely know The Freddies, (aka the awards for frequent flyer and hotel rewards programs), but do you know about the Passenger Choice Awards?
The PCAs — as the cool kids call them — are like the People’s Choice Awards except instead of telling Julia Roberts how great she is for the millionth time, they recognize airlines for every aspect of the flying experience from the time you buy your tickets until the moment you collect your bags and attempt to avoid the unlicensed cabbies trying to rip you off. Just think of it as a way to write an anonymous love letter to the carrier of your dreams. Want more info? This should sum it up pretty well for you. The whole thing is presented by APEX, the Airline Passenger Experience Association, i.e. the people who care that you enjoy your flight.
To vote for the PCAs, just click on this here link and answer a few brief questions. IT’S SO INCREDIBLY EASY. You should probably enter right now. Like right this second. What are you waiting for? Go. Now. CLICK.
