NASCAR fans, start your engines. If you’re down with Dale Earnhardt Jr. (as opposed to indie rock band Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.), then this should come as very good news. The NASCAR driver owns beer and wing depot Whisky River in Uptown Charlotte and now he’s teamed up with HMSHost to open an outpost of Whisky River at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT).
The grand opening happened last week and now you can grab burgers, wings, and all kinds of other pub grub in the E-Concourse of CLT whenever your racecar driving heart wants. In addition to food, the restaurant is promising live performances as well, which would be a really interesting draw for an airport restaurant. Just another step towards making airport dining equally as much fun as regular restaurants. Whisky River will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the menus can be found below:
