Wolfgang Puck Adds to His Airport Arsenal

There’s no celebrity chef that has spread his name as far and as wide as Wolfgang Puck. At airports, college campuses, supermarkets, and pretty much anywhere you can purchase food, the Austrian-born chef has made his presence known and now there’s another outlet to get your globally-inspired comfort food at Dulles (IAD) where Wolfgang Puck has just opened The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck.

Washington, D.C. March 29, 2016 – Chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck, known for his growing empire of casual and fine dining restaurants, culinary products and catering services, announces this week the addition of one of his newest restaurant concepts, The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck, to Washington Dulles International Airport. The restaurant opened as part of the comprehensive concessions redevelopment program undertaken by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. Operated by Air Ventures LLC, The Kitchen’s menu imbues Wolfgang’s elevated take on made-from-scratch, global comfort fare using the freshest locally sourced ingredients.
“I’m excited to introduce my newest concept to Dulles International and to the many visitors to the D.C. area,†said Chef Wolfgang Puck. “Similar to our restaurant “The Source†in Penn Quarter, we will be using only the best ingredients for our menus. My team and I look forward to welcoming you and hope you enjoy the restaurant as much as we do.â€
Travelers at Dulles International can now enjoy the relaxing ambiance while indulging in a selection of seasonally focused, signature dishes and new items created with the IAD traveler in mind. Wolfgang’s menus showcase quality, local ingredients, inventive techniques and approachability. Featured menu items include house-made waffles and French-style omelets for breakfast, Chesapeake Bay crab cakes with basil aioli and a variety of artisanal pizzas. Guests can also enjoy a wide selection of small plates, seasonal salads and entrée items such as Brick Chicken with Calabrian chilies and pesto, as well as pesto shrimp spaghetti with plum tomatoes.
Featuring a full-service restaurant, bar, and to-go counter, The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck is located along Concourse A at Gate A22 and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
