If you liked yesterday’s news about Montreal’s new airport restaurants, you’re going to love what’s happening in Houston. Starting in early 2016, you can expect 15 new dining spots and 6 new Starbucks scattered throughout terminals A, B, C, and D at George Bush International (IAH). HMSHost, the same global group responsible for the new YUL overhaul as well as many airport restaurants around the world, will be running the new outlets alongside local restauranteurs The Houston 8 Team, LLC. While details are scarce right now, here’s what we know from the press release:
HMSHost will introduce labels offering locally-inspired cuisine, such as Landry’s Seafood, EL Real, Ray’s BBQ, and The Breakfast Klub Express; restaurants like Cadillac Mexican Kitchen and Bar and Hugo’s Cocina, which specialize in recipes typical of the Mexican food & wine traditions; brands like Red Mango, Chick-fil-A and Blaze Pizza, offering products suitable for faster meals, and labels like American Craft Tavern and Mockingbird Distillery & Smokehouse, providing refined food, brew, and cocktail solutions for slower enjoyment. Six new Starbucks locations will also be conveniently located throughout the airport, which represent guaranteed quality for coffee lovers worldwide.
So… Mexican, BBQ, seafood, pizza, fast food, and tart yogurt can all be yours if you make it down to the Lone Star State next year. Giddy up.
