Who’s the LeBron of Frequent Flyer Programs?

Posted in Poll

With the giant “LeBron James Back to Cleveland” announcement yesterday, it seems like all anyone can talk about is LeBron. As an NBA fan, I’m one of those people. He may not be the Greatest of All Time — that would be Michael Jordan — but he’s the best basketball player on the planet right now! To celebrate this huge development in both the basketball world and popular culture at large, let’s get Fly&Dine’s first poll rolling.

I want to know who you think is the “LeBron” of Frequent Flyer Programs, that is to say the best right now. With the huge Delta SkyMiles devaluation and recent changes to AAdvantage/Dividend Miles due to the merger, I have a feeling we’re going to see some unexpected results. Are you a Southwest devotee? A MileagePlus lifer? Let me know what you think by voting in the poll and if you care to defend your favorite program, go ahead and do so in the comments!

  1. United might be the Lebron of the airlines for Cleveland. Maybe one day they will return.

It’s funny that most parts of the country don’t care about the NBA. Ask people in Kansas City or Mobile or Billings or…. It’s seems you either live in an NBA town (Miami, New York, LA, etc.) or you don’t. People that don’t see that product near them don’t care about it. It’s kinda like airlines. If you are in a town that isn’t serviced (or serviced much) by say Frontier or Alaska or Delta… you don’t care about those product lines. You go with who you have.
