We humans are all unique snowflakes in this world and that means all of humanity doesn’t eat the same thing at the same time. Airlines know this all too well and that’s why they offer special meals to accommodate the plethora of dietary restrictions we flyers throw at them. Whether you’re following a diet that skews vegetarian, kosher, diabetic, or gluten-free, airlines are more than happy to suit your needs — assuming you notify them well in advance of your flight.

Most airlines will let you know which special meals they serve via their websites, but wouldn’t it be more convenient to have all that information in one place? Map Happy certainly thought so and that’s why they published a great guide to special meals on airlines. The Picky Eater’s Guide to Airline Food has a breakdown of special meals for 15 different carriers around the globe. Sorted by airline and type of diet, you can get a fairly comprehensive view of the various options you have on these major airlines. While the list doesn’t cover every airline (most of the Middle East carriers are left off the list entirely), it’s a great resource to have if you’re looking to compare which airlines offer the best variety of special meals. Need a Halal meal? You shouldn’t have any problems. Into soft foods? JAL, LAN, and Virgin Atlantic have you covered. Check out a brief sample of Map Happy’s hard work below and get the full list here.
