Starbucks is Giving Away Free Coffee for Life

Posted in America, North America, On the Ground

I spent a fair amount of my youth wishing I had some way to find a Golden Ticket in a Wonka bar. Considering that there was no such thing as a Wonka bar at the time, the odds were fairly dismal. I did, however, LOVE Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and still to this day reference it all the time. That’s why I got so excited when I heard about the contest Starbucks is running.

While winners don’t get a trip to the secret Starbucks factory to test fizzy-lifting-espresso and everlasting mocha-stoppers, they do get free Starbucks products (one food or beverage item a day) for life. So what does life mean? Apparently thirty years. That means Starbucks is really giving away free coffee for the life of somebody in the Medieval era. That doesn’t make this contest any less exciting.

All you have to do is use your Starbucks card or mobile app to pay for your purchase, then you’ll get a code to enter on the website and if it’s the right code, you win! You can enter every day between now and January 5, 2015. There are also instant win prizes to make you feel better if you’re not the big winner.

This sounds like an awesome sweepstakes to me. The details are here on the Starbucks site. Even though I’m not a coffee drinker, I still might stop at Starbucks for a caramel apple cider just so I can enter.
