Birthday cake has always been one of my favorite desserts (chocolate cake with vanilla frosting, please), but after my birthday celebration last weekend, I have to admit there’s a new entrant into the birthday dessert game: the Most Promiscuous Brownie (MPB). Made by my girlfriend (Lady Fly&Dine), a trained chef who knows that the key to my heart is sugar, sugar, and more sugar, the MPB is eight layers of sweet goodness. The whole thing is based on the Slutty Brownie, a combination of chocolate chip cookies, Oreos, and brownies. That, in turn, inspired the Sluttiest Brownie from B Sweet Dessert Bar in West LA, which features five layers: chocolate chip cookie, Oreo, marshmallow, graham cracker, and brownie.
I fell in love with B Sweet’s creation and Lady Fly&Dine decided to up the ante on the Sluttiest Brownie by creating the Most Promiscuous Brownie. She kept the layers a surprise and when I finally got to see it last Saturday, it was everything I dreamed of and more. The bottom layer started out like the others with a thick chocolate chip cookie. Above that is a homemade marshmallow fluff. The third layer is really two-in-one: a cheesecake with an Oreo crust. Then you get a thin layer of chocolate ganache in case it all wasn’t rich enough yet. That tan layer is straight-up peanut butter and then there’s a full layer of brownie. On the top, she made Cinnamon Toast Crunch treats (like Rice Krispie Treats). If you’re a diabetic, I assume you’ve already gone into shock.
It’s impossible to get every layer together in one bite, but part of the fun was mixing and matching the layers to find the best combinations. I loved the marshmallow with the Oreo cheesecake and brownie all mixed together and chocolate chip cookie + peanut butter + ganache + Cinnamon Toast Crunch Treat was truly special. All things considered, this is the greatest birthday dessert you could ever hope for. So much thanks and love go out to Lady Fly&Dine who continues to make every day of my life better than the last.
I hope I do not become a diabetic just from looking at the photographs and reading the description, as that would be wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-ay too much sugar for me; but I am glad you enjoyed it, Jason. Happy birthday?
Would you be the type of person who would enjoy a cherpumple for dessert after eating a turducken?
Thanks, Brian. I’m the type of person who would enjoy a turcherpumpleducken.
