Quick tip: BYOWater and save $$$

Water. It’s one of those things that seems so basic at home but feels like a luxury when you’re traveling. Instead of spending major $$$ on bottled water, bring your own reusable water bottle with you. I’m partial to the vacuum insulated S’well Bottle because it keeps water cold (or hot!) for a full day, but really any reusable bottle will do. Make sure to empty the bottle before you go through airport security, but once you’re past TSA you can fill up at a water fountain and go about your day — many airports now have water fountains with a very handy water bottle filling feature so you don’t have to do that awkward tilt-and-fill. Staying hydrated is a major key to air travel happiness and with your own bottle, you won’t be sitting parched and captive in your seat until the flight attendants roll through with the beverage cart.
