The Reason for My Disappearance

Posted in On the Ground

I do my best to post daily on Fly&Dine in the hopes that it’ll keep you coming back for more. Last week, though, I had to push pause on Fly&Dine mid-flight because I was working on a project that required my undivided attention for 14+ hours a day. Please accept my apologies, but know that this other project was totally worth it. So what was this mystery time-stealer? I’m glad you asked.

For the past month, I’ve been writing a series of specials for the Cooking Channel with the Top Chef-winning Voltaggio Brothers. It’s amongst the most fun I’ve ever had at work. Last week, we shot three different thirty-minute episodes and that required me being on set from very early until very late almost every day. I can’t tell you what a thrill it was to be able to craft entire episodes for these great chefs and watch them come alive before an incredible crew. I can’t divulge too many details, but keep your eyes out for anything Voltaggio-related on the Cooking Channel and there’s a high likelihood that you’ll see my name in the credits. If you do catch the specials, please let me know what you think!

Now that I’m done with the project, I’ll be back to posting regularly on Fly&Dine and that includes my trip next week to MOROCCO! Please accept my apologies for my disappearance. I promise it was for a good cause!

  1. Jason,
Way too cool! Working on a film production is an awakeining. Working a food one must be fantastic! Please let us know, if possible, when it will be airing.
